We recorded this album in Cotati, CA sometime in 1997 at Grizzly Studio with Roger Tschann.

Blackjackaction was a part of the hardcore scene during the mid-90s in Northern California. The group of bands we played with and those who came to our shows were highly DIY. We toured during a time where no one had cell phones and our trusty road atlas and a payphone were our means of getting to the next show.

Basement shows, house shows, and alternative all-ages venues were where bands like us took hold.

Blackjackaction wrote music that was different for its' time - a mixture of strange time signatures and musical dynamics set us apart from the typical screamy loud genre we were a part of.
